Effort vs. Results

NOT ALL REWARDS COME FROM HARDWORK

Effort vs Results

Unfortunately and fortunately, effort doesn’t equal results.

You don’t get to expect a reward because you worked really hard.

You don’t have to work really hard to get a reward.

Sometimes you get a reward for working less.

Sometimes you work your butt off and don’t get any reward.

That is how the world works. Seen it a thousand times.

So what can we do with this information?

How do we know what to do and what not to do?

We don’t.

We can only experiment.

Thoughts are what ultimately drive results.

Negative thinking with lots of action always leaves us exhausted.

Positive thinking with no action often leaves us empty and wondering.

But if we keep at it, we can find the right combination.

We can discover how to think positively and take action until we get the result we want.

Sometimes we will surprise ourselves by getting results quickly and without a struggle.

Sometimes we won’t get the result we want.

But the only way we will ever know what is possible is to change what we think and do.

Over and over and over again.

Effort doesn’t always produce results.

But keep at it.

Do it anyway.

The alternative is stagnation.

And that never produces anything you want.

Take Today As Starting Point.
