Inge Rock is a woman on a mission. A mission to coach others how to be responsible for their personal development and the choices they make and the results that follow.
It all began ten years ago when Inge started her coaching practice in an old house of her grandparents in Tienen, her hometown. At the front was a retail space that had been empty for years. With vision and a lot of elbow grease, she transformed the dusty space into her own coaching practice. Inge Rock Coaching & Speaking was born. Within a year literally and figuratively that little shop became too small and Inge knew that she and her vision had to expand. Her coaching calendar soon became packed with coaching appointments. People came from Bruges, Eindhoven, and Maasmechelen to Tienen to be coached by Inge. Many entrepreneurs, artists, and future coaches, in particular, found their way to her and her philosophy of coaching the Inge Rock Academy was established.
When asked what was your turning point, Inge's response is she like everyone else has had step backs and deep painful blows. Her parents divorced when she was fourteen, her marriage went down, her mother died of breast cancer at the age of fifty-six, she had to give up the business that she had built up as a result of the divorce, her father suddenly died of a brain hemorrhage. Yet in the somehow Inge remained standing. As she said, “She had to”. Over time she built her confidence back, stronger than ever before and then set out to coach others how to do the same in their lives.
Today Inge is not only a sought after international speaker, coach, and author but also a creator and star (yes STAR darling) of her one-woman show, Ik is een idioo (I am an Idiot) in which she plays her alter ego. During her show she shares all those little dark demons of self-doubt, insecurity and poor choice we all try from the world. It is the ultimate good vs bad inner battle played out in front of packed treaters. As crowds laugh little do they know how skillful Inge has woven her unique gift of coaching into the show, allowing us to laugh and grow ourselves through someone else's honesty and humor.
