The goal to bring leadership and personal development to Poland “started in my heart, and then my head” is how Iwona remembers those early days.
“It was a dream that needed commitment, not courage.” “When you make a commitment, you don’t need courage; you just take actions to honor that commitment.”
Iwona knew in her heart that her desire to transform her country required her to transform the leadership and to transform the leadership needed a new type of leader. A leader trained by someone recognized the world over as a leaders leader. Someone like her friend and mentor John C. Maxwell.
In September 2018 Iwona and a small band of committed dreamers shared their goal for a New Poland with John C. Maxwell and asked permission to bring John and his leadership lessons home to Poland. From that conversation, and a commitment to serve others The John Maxwell Team ~ Poland was born.
That small group of founding members has grown and now not only develops leaders in Poland but has traveled to such places as Paraguay, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Romania, and the United States. All in a commitment to grow a new type of leadership and be of service to others.
It was not courage that built this force of change. It was doing what Iwona says she has ways done “honor my commitments no matter how hard it feels sometimes.”

Iwona Polkowska ~ Prezes zespołu John C Maxwell - Polska
Celem wprowadzenia przywództwa i rozwoju osobistego w Polsce „zaczęło się w moim sercu, a potem w głowie”, jak Iwona pamięta te wczesne dni.
„To było marzenie, które wymagało zaangażowania, a nie odwagi”. „Kiedy podejmujesz zobowiązanie, nie potrzebujesz odwagi; po prostu podejmujecie działania, aby uszanować to zobowiązanie. ”
Iwona wiedziała w swoim sercu, że jej pragnienie przekształcenia swojego kraju wymagało od niej zmiany przywództwa, a przekształcenie przywództwa wymagało nowego rodzaju przywódcy. Lider wyszkolony przez kogoś uznał świat jako lidera liderów. Ktoś taki jak jej przyjaciel i mentor John C. Maxwell.
We wrześniu 2018 roku Iwona i niewielki zespół zaangażowanych marzycieli wspólnie z Johnem C. Maxwellem podzielili się swoim celem związanym z Nową Polską i poprosili o pozwolenie na sprowadzenie Johna i jego lekcji przywództwa do Polski. Dzięki tej rozmowie i zaangażowaniu w służenie innym narodził się Zespół John Maxwell ~ Poland.
Ta niewielka grupa członków założycieli powiększyła się i obecnie nie tylko rozwija liderów w Polsce, ale podróżowała do takich miejsc jak Paragwaj, Kostaryka, Gwatemala, Rumunia i Stany Zjednoczone. Wszystko w dążeniu do rozwoju nowego rodzaju przywództwa i służenia innym.
To nie odwaga zbudowała tę siłę zmian. Robiła to, co powiedziała Iwona: „szanuj moje zobowiązania bez względu na to, jak ciężko to czasami czuje”.
