Most people miss this…

In a world of FOMO, what is the real motivator?

High performers in business, politics, and sport are really good at this.

Even though to the rest of the world it feels backward.

I’m talking about seeing decision-making…

…through the lens of what happens if you DON’T take action.

You see most of the time when we face a decision,

we weigh the potential consequences of acting.

And then we make a choice.

But far less often do we face a decision and think about the potential consequences of NOT acting.

For example…

Let’s say you have an important book in you that you KNOW the world needs…

But, for some reason, you haven’t been able to make it happen yet.

  • Maybe it’s still just a kernel of an idea in your mind.
  • Maybe you’ve sketched out some ideas but have struggled to get started.
  • Or maybe you’ve even written a good portion of it but have hit a brick wall.

Whatever the case, you’ve probably spent plenty of time imagining all the things that will happen if you realize your dream.

You imagine holding the book in your hand.

Reading great reviews on Amazon.

Selling thousands of copies.

Getting lovely emails from people whose life has been changed for the better because of YOUR book.

But now I want you to flip it and imagine the consequences — in one year, five years, even ten years time — of NOT writing and publishing your book.

Think about how it will feel ten years down the road if your book STILL hasn’t happened.

Think about all the business and opportunities that being a published author could send your way that will be LOST.

Think about all the people whose lives WON’T be transformed and improved because your wisdom is still in your head instead of on the page.

Can you feel it?

That ache? That sense of loss? That burden of regret?

Well, take tight hold of it because what you’re feeling is a powerful catalyst for making things happen.

For making YOUR book happen.

This is what top performers around the world do.

They see the potential results and pain of inaction and it MOVES them to hit the gym at 4 am, make one more phone call, send one more email, and, yes…

Write one more page of their book.

So, let’s get inspired together!

Let’s stop living in a Fear of Missing Out Culture and start living and start living into what we know we are called to do.

I often laugh when my clients reflect back on the writing experience and say things like “it wasn't really that hard” “I don't know why it took me so long. What I know is the missing element was the call that showed them all that could happen if they didn't follow that calling.

The world is waiting for your story, your greatness don't let it pass unseen.
