Offering Grace and Gratitude
How different would 2020 be if …it started filled with Grace and Gratitude?
There’s no better time than the New Year to release the shackles of the past and leap towards your highest destiny.
But why do so many of us set New Year goals and resolutions…
Only to find them broken just months or even days in?
And why do we often find ourselves struggling with the same disempowering habits, emotions, people, and circumstances, year after year?
The answer is simple:
As we stand at the cusp of new beginnings, we often forget to take one vital step that promises both liberation and the fulfillment of our dreams.
Countless ancient civilizations practiced this transformational ritual.
Yet somehow, its wisdom has been all but lost to the modern world.
My intention now is to bring it back — so you can make 2020 the most blessed year of your life.
And so in this moment, I invite you to rediscover the ancient ritual that will shift your dreams and intentions into reality:
Take this one vital step before January 5th — and give yourself the best possible start to your journey of success.
Ohh, what is this ancient taking time to clear your body and mind of negative energy?
How do you do this for me it is a day of journal writing titled Grace and Gratitude.
I sit down and write a letter to myself, in which I grant myself, Grace. Grace for the things that did not go as I had hoped Grace for the learning that came at a price of bumps and brushes and lost opportunities. I sit and do a scan of my thoughts and feelings about the past year, and when I find one of those moments of shame, embarrassments, disappointment, self-doubt, I stop to write it out entirely then give myself Grace. It starts a bit as I offer you, Grace, for … unconditionally will you receive it? I then have the choice to expect this unconditional Grace. If I receive it, then the past becomes the past, and it allows me to freely move into the new year.
The second part and not always the easier part is gratitude. Gratitude is that emotional expression of appreciation for what one has. It is a recognition of value independent of monetary worth. It is finding yourself outside the accomplishments of the awards and bak books but for the lesson learned and the growth achieved and the act done in silence. Again as I flip back through the events of 2019, I look for those moments that I can mark as moments thankful appreciation for what I received, whether tangible or intangible. With gratitude, I acknowledge the goodness in my life. As I journal these moments, I ask myself to receive the joy, the love, the blessing that moment hold, and remind myself that I am worthy of this and more.
Ok maybe the accents did it differently .. but “Auld Lang Syne” means, “days gone by.” and for me, that about offering Grace and gratitude to the days gone “We’ll take a cup o’ kindness (grace/forgiveness) yet,
For auld lang syne. “let’s drink to days to gone by” (gratitude)
However, you lean into the coming of your now that you are worthy of all your heart’s callings.
