Procrastination
I have been meaning to write this blog for some time..
A lot of people think procrastination means you’re just sitting around doing nothing. Sitting around watching TV, playing video games, etc.
But let me tell you how you actually procrastinate.
You wake up and tell yourself that you’re going to get things done today. Today is the day. You’ve had enough and today is the day everything changes.
You get breakfast and watch a few YouTube videos or listen to a podcast. You have to get ready.
But before you start working on your business, you have to tidy up the house a little bit. Ok done.
You watch more videos and look at your crazy Facebook friends' posts, wondering if you should unfriend them or not.
It’s noon already and you don’t know where the time went.
So you start working.
But before you get to the ‘work’ you have to strategize. You have to plan.
Oh wait…you have to Google something before you start working.
Ah…you’re hungry again.
When you finally get to the work…what is it?
Are you working on your business cards?
Are you doing more ‘research’ so you can ‘start tomorrow’?
I see more and more people fail because they do everything except the thing that actually produces revenue in their business.
And what produces revenue? Promotion.
If you want to speak at events, you have to contact events.
If you want to sell online programs, you have to spend money on ads.
If you’re doing anything else, that’s why your business isn’t where you think it should be.
You spend so much time doing everything except the thing that produces revenue and then you wonder why there’s no revenue coming in.
Every day you should be focusing on getting business.
You can sit down and create all the content in the world. You can do your live streams, podcasts, etc. all day.
But how much revenue did you bring in? How many people did you talk to that can actually pay for what you’re offering?
If you’re confused about why business isn’t coming to you then I can guarantee it’s because you’re doing everything except the thing that actually brings in business.
Do the things that bring in business. Ignore everything else.
I did it! I Got this written .. now I can go back to cat videos.
